Embodied Group Therapy

While I believe in the immense value of one-on-one therapy, I also believe that our best healing happens in community. Trauma and wounding occur within the context of a relationship. For many of us, these early relational ruptures taught us something about ourselves, others, or the world that might not always be true. Groups offer one of the best containers to explore how our patterning shows up within different relational dynamics, and it is within this space that we can safely see, explore, and tinker with our implicit beliefs and perceptions.

Groups are spacious, open-ended containers where we will rely on the intelligence of each other and the group itself to show us what wants to be worked on. Each session begins with a short meditation and check-in, followed by a facilitated space to support members in noticing what comes alive within different relational dynamics. Depending on what’s there, sessions may be more free-flowing between group members or centered around an individual process with the support of the group.

No somatic or embodiment experience is necessary. I will simply offer invitations to check-in with the body as a means for deepening experience.

Befriending Winter

A three month closed container to welcome the wisdom of the winter blues!

12 weeks, January 4th - March 22

Monday Evenings 7-8:30pm | Fairfax, CA

Winter is a time where nature turns inward, and our psyches follow. With shorter days and longer nights, we might feel that natural pull into the depths of ourselves. Grief, longing, and loneliness tend to surface alongside an inner process of transformation. By coming together in group space, and sharing our wintry processes with others, we can awaken new areas of growth while simultaneously indulging in some cozy time with others.

This group offers a three month container to help hold us through that tough stretch of Winter, after the holidays have concluded and Spring is still a ways away.

Sessions will begin with a meditation and a chance to check-in with the group, followed by a process-oriented group practice, where we will lean on the intelligence of the group to show us what wants to be known.

No prior group experience necessary. Email me with your interest and questions. Spots limited to eight participants.

Standing at the Threshold

For high school seniors about to embark on their next chapter

12 weeks, January 3rd - March 21

Sundays 4-5:30pm | Fairfax CA

This group is for high school seniors standing at a major threshold where you are being asked to leave all that is familiar and venture out into the unknown. This transition is full of both grief and excitement, and it is helpful to have a structured place to explore this transition with those who are going through it with you.

In this group, not only will we explore your thoughts, concerns, and visions around this transition, but we will also pay attention to how you hold these experiences in the present moment, supporting you to become more aware of who you are and how you show up around others.

Sessions begin with a mindful check-in, followed by a facilitated space to notice what is happening both inside your body and within the group.

No prior group experience is necessary. I will provide lots of guidance along the way.

Email me with interest and questions. Spots limited to eight participants.
