Hi, I'm Sally
I am a holistic psychotherapist practicing in-person in Marin County and online throughout California. I specialize in somatic psychology and engage somatic practices and perspectives to help my clients heal areas of trauma and disconnection and restore a felt sense of wholeness.
Many of my therapeutic perspectives were forged during my first Masters at the California Institute of Integral Studies where I studied Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness. Among many things, this program oriented me in the evolution of consciousness and the role of the human psyche in planetary transformation. My deepest motivation behind my work is contributing to planetary healing by supporting a cultural shift in consciousness.
But as you might have already noticed, the philosophical angle reads as heady and abstract, which is why I chose to return to school to earn my PhD in clinical psychology with hopes of bringing these ideas into tangible practice. Therapy supports the cultivation of a person's inner wholeness, which includes their unique values, gifts, and inner resources. It is these very qualities that make a person necessary to the functioning and flourishing of the web of life, where each being plays a part, and each person matters. I believe that when healing is held within an ecological context, psychotherapy can break free from its emphasis on the individual and human healing can have a deeper impact on the wider world.

Who I am as a therapist
I draw inspiration from many sources. I am trained in and practice Hakomi Therapy, where I blend together somatic and psychodynamic perspectives alongside my background in philosophy, spiritual ecologies, and depth psychologies.
I value creating a felt-sense of safety. This means that we will always move at your pace, follow your interests, and work together so that therapy feels both insightful and engaging.
I am always engaged in and committed to my own process of healing and growth, both professionally and personally. I've spent many years in the client seat and continue my own therapeutic process to this day. Ultimately, more than any training or education, it's my own inner work that makes me a good therapist.
And outside of the office, you'll likely find me walking my dog, Ziggy, exploring the trails around Fairfax, spending time with friends, playing fiddle on my porch, contemplating the meaning of life, crying, yearning, or staring at sunlight through leaves.
